The Champagne region is of course renowned for its Champagne, the world famous wine that is produced here. But also with regards to nature you can absolutely come into your own. The woods – almost 40% of the total surface of the department – and the hilly plains with the many signposted paths and roads are a true invitation to go hiking. The lake of Der and the 4 lakes of the Land of Langres, along with the many rivers of this area, make it the ultimate destination for fishing fans, bird watchers and water sport practitioners.
In the village are numerous beautiful buildings that date from a prosperous period. The city hall and the chapel are certainly worth a visit. And don’t forget the laundry house from yesteryear with its many scuffs. A few villagers still use this laundry house.
For over more than 2000 years, Bourbonne-les-Bains, at 12 km from the holiday home, has been famous for its thermal water, which has a wholesome effect on arthrosis, rheumatism and ailments of the respiratory tract. The spa is situated in a marvellous scenery, near the source of the Meuse river, and has quite some interesting curiosities.
Also the Vosges mountains are within a stone’s throw of the holiday home.
